RTP, a developer of software used to manage ski resort ticket sales, activities, and rentals, has been acquired by online sports and events registrations firm
Active Network. Active Network announced the acquisition Thursday afternoon, but did not disclose any financial details of the buy.RTP's technology is used by ski resorts to sell tickets, activities, and manage rentals; the firm's product was developed in 1998 for Vail and several other Rocky Mountain ski resorts. RTP's systems are currently used by Aspen Skiing Company, Intrawest, Powdr Corp., SkiStar, Vail Resorts and VERBIER–St–Bernard, among others. RTP's President and CEO is Charlie L'Esperance.
