Gorilla Logic, which provides both open source test tools and enterprise application and software development services, has launched an Android version of its FoneMonkey application testing tool. The firm said today that its new FoneMOnkey for Android allows developers to automate testing of Android applications, recording and playing back test scripts. Gorilla Logic's Fonemonkey testing tool is already heavily used by Apple iOS developers, who use the tool to test iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad applications. Developers use the tools to ensure that their software is working properly on releases.
