BoomStartup said today that it has set the date for its 2011 Demo Day, the day that the group's latest class of startups will pitch to investors. The group said that the day is next Friday, August 19th, in Park City. BoomStartup is mentoring ten startup companies as part of its program, where those firms receive $15,000 in seed capital, $15,000 in in-kind services, office space, and mentoring by investors. This year's class includes ChampionVillage, CircleFive, Explorer.io, FaceTags, ForeUp, Jumbas, OER Glue, PromoKube, Proz and VuTherapy. BoomStartup--which was founded by John Richards and Robb Kunz--also includes the invovement of Kimball Wirig (Dentrix), Craig Bott (Grow Utah Ventures), Craig Earnshaw (LifeLInk), and Andy White (SchoolCenter). TechStars, the Boulder-based startup incubator, is hosting its own Demo Day today.
