Salt Lake City-based startup accelerator
BoomStartup said today that it has launched a brand new startup accelerator, focused on education technology startups, in an online format. The company said its online accelerator program, which starts up on May 1st, will deliver much of the content online through a new platform, and have a rolling, monthly start date for companies to join. BoomStartup said startups accepted for the program will still receive seed funding for equity, plus access to discounted services such as hosting, marketing, legal, and financial services. BoomStartup's new program is unlike most other startup accelerators, which have been focused on in-person coaching, colocation within a physical facility, and one on one contact with mentors; BoomStartup said the advantage of its online program will be more flexibility, a "more personalized pace", and the ability to accept companies from "anywhere in the world."
