Vivint Taps Private Equity Vet As President
Provo, Utah-based Vivint, an installer of home automation, security, and other products, said this week that it has named Tanguy Serra as the new President of a new Energy Division. Serra was most recently a VP at TPG, the private equity firm, working in TPG's London Office. Serra has also served at Merrill Lynch, on the investment bank's Energy Investment Banking team, along with stints at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners and Deloitte. Vivint was previously known as APX Alarm, changing its name in February as it looked to expand into the home automation and energy management market.
