MapQuest said over the weekend that it has launched MapQuest Map Builder Beta, a new feature which allows users to create their own, personal maps. MapQuest said that the feature will allow business to put their logo as a map pin, allow users to create their own map of local hotspots, and more. The new design also allows users to provide title and descriptions for pins, add different shapes like lines, rectangles, and polygons on maps, and save those for use on a third party website.
