Provo, Utah-based FamilyLink, an online site focused on family history and genealogy, said today that it has added historical maps to its collection of documents. FamilyLink said it is adding more than 1.3 million maps to its collection of documents, via a partnership with Historic Map Works. Details of the partnership were not disclosed. FamilyLink said the historical maps can help its users overlay old street addresses on top of old maps, to see exactly where their ancestors lived. FamilyLink is venture backed by vSpring Capital and TTP Capital Advisors, and is headed by Paul Allen; the firm also recently added Cydni Tetro as its Chief Marketing Officer.
