FamilyLink announced this morning that the firm has raised $2.85M in a Series B funding round. According to the firm, which runs social networking sites focused on families, the funding came from vSpring Capital, TTP Capital Advisors, as well as angel investors. FamilyLink runs the WorldVitalRecords.com genealogy site, in addition to its flagship site. FamilyLink said it now has 30 employees in the U.S., spread across Provo, Seattle, and Boulder, Colorado, in addition to developers in India and the Phillipines, and is headed by former MyFamily.com founder Paul B. Allen. FamilyLink's services are also available via widgets on social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
