Adobe Systems' acquisition of Orem, Utah-based
Omniture is started to hit home over the weekend, as Adobe said last week that it is eliminating top billing for the Omniture brand, and transitioning all of Omniture's products to Adobe branding. Adobe said that, as of last Thursday, it is transitioning all of Omniture's brands to an "ingredient" brand, such as renaming Omniture's flagship product, Omniture SiteCatalyst, to Adobe SiteCatalyst powered by Omniture. As part of the renaming, the firm said it has released a new version of the "Adobe Online Marketing Suite Powered by Omniture"--formerly Omniture's Online Marketing Suite. The products division which was Omniture is still run by Josh James, who joined the firm when Adobe acquired Omniture in 2009.
