ECOtality, a developer of electric transportation technology, said today that it has moved its headquarters from Tempe, Arizona, to San Francisco, California. The firm said it moved its operations because the Bay Area is "the nexus" for the electric vehicle industry, and because California is expected to be the largest EV market in the country. The firm said it will continue to operate in Tempe and Phoenix, but did not say how the move would affect employment in those locations.
