Boulder-based OneRiot, which provides a real time search engine, said today that it has expanded its realtime search API to include Facebook data. The firm also said it has rolled out a new program to help third party developers monetize their revenue. According to OneRiot, the new API changse mean that Facebook users who share links or "like" stories contribute to realtime search results from its API. The service previously only used links from Twitter, MySpace, and Digg in its results. In addition to the expansion to use Facebook data, OneRiot said it has added self-optimizating algorithms to drive the display of ads displayed in third party applications; the firm said the enhancement should help increase click-through rates for those ads.
