OneRiot Ships Facebook Toolbar
Boulder, Colorado-based OneRiot, which operates a social search engine service, said today that the firm has released a new toolbar to help connect "online social butterflies" using Facebook. The firm said the toolbar, which works with Internet Explorer and Safari, will allow Facebook users to see friend requests, messages, wall posts, photos, change status updates, and more from within their web browser. OneRiot--which uses data gathered from its toolbar applications to drive its social search site--said the new toolbar follows its integration with Facebook Connect in December. OneRiot also offers a similar toolbar for MySpace. OneRiot's search site uses surfing patterns from users to help rank and prioritize search results on its web site.
