Alliance Health Networks Gains $3.3M
Salt Lake City-based Alliance Health Networks announced today that it has raised $3.3M in a Series C venture round, led by Highway 12 Ventures. The firm, which develops social networks for the healthcare industry, said that EPIC Ventures and a number of Internet and healthcare industry angels also participated in the funding. Alliance Health develops tools for connecting people with medical connections, and runs the DiabeticConnect.com social network for people living with diabetes. The new funding brings the company's total raised to $6.6M. The firm said that the proceeds will go to accelerate growth, as well as to launch several new social health networks in the next year.
