RidgeviewTel, a provider of broadband Internet connectivity, reported earlier this week that it has inked a deal with water meter provider National Meter & Automation, to help provide automatic reading and advanced metering infrastructure to water management companies and municipalities. The two said they have created a direct connection between NMAAI's reading systems and RidgeviewTel's network services, via the firm's wireless broadband network. The two said they have been working together since 2007, when RidgeviewTel deployed a network for NMAII in the City of Fort Lupton.
