Vivint Smart Home Links With Airbnb On Smart Home Tools
Provo, Utah-based Vivint Smart Home, the provider of smart home and security services, said at CES this week that it has partnered with Airbnb. Vivint says it has become the "preferred smart home provider" to Airbnb and its hosts, and will offer up smart home technology letting hosts manage their homes remotely with automatic keyless access, energy management and home security. Terms of the deal were not announced. Vivint said the deal will allow guests to automatically receive a unique entry PIN top gain access to Airbnb properties, all without having to arrange a key exchange; automatically adjust thermostats in between stays; and let hosts greet guets via its Vivint Doorbell Camera.
