Qwest has scored a $14.2M contract from NASA, according to Qwest this morning, to upgrade the agency's backbone circuits. According to Qwest, the award went to its government services arm, and will go to upgrade the federal agency's backbone from 2.5Gbps to 10Gbps. The eight year contract was made under a GSA contract, and will be used to upgrade NASA's corporate backbone, used for email, collaboration, scientific, financial, and business applications at its facilities.
