Denver, Colorado-based Qwest has scored a major win at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for a new nationwide network. Qwest said today that it will provide connectivity between six NASA centers and NASA's core network locations. The new network will provide 2.6 Gigabits per second connectivity between the centers, and will scale immediately to 10 Gbps. NASA will use the new network to move data from its space exploration and aeronautics efforts. Financial terms were not disclosed.
