Tempe, Arizona-based
LifeLock, the venture-backed identity theft prevention firm, said Thursday afternoon that it has hired on a new General Counsel, who was formerly assistant counsel to President Clinton. According to LifeLock, Clarissa Cerda joins the firm from Initiate Systems, where she was VP, General Counsel, and Chief Privacy Officer. Cerda has also served at Open Port Technology, and was at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal. Cerda served Clinton from 1993 to 1995. LifeLock is venture backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers.
