Move Networks, a provider of high definition video streaming technology, announced today that it has acquired U.K.-based Inuk Networks. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to Move, Inuk has developed a television platform that provides new opportunities for monetizing customers with targeted advertising and converged applications. Move said Inuk also provides IPTV services (branded Freewire) to universities in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada. Move added that it is committed to developing and growing the Freewire platform, which will launch Stateside later this year.
