Salt Lake City-based Overstock.com said Wednesday that James V. Joyce, a member of the firm's board of directors, has resigned. Joyce has been a director of the firm since January of 2008. According to a filing with the SEC, Overstock is paying $1.2M to Joyce in conjunction with his departure; the firm said in that filing that Joyce leaves because the firm's consulting arrangement with Icent LLC, which Joyce is the CEO of, has been terminated. Joyce joined Overstock in January of 2008.
