Socialthing Confirms Acquisition
Boulder-based Socialthing, which is developing a social networking management services, confirmed its acquisition by AOL Thursday. In a post on the firm's blog, Matt Galligan, the firm's CEO and founder, confirmed that the deal has closed, but did not disclose financial terms of the deal. Galligan said that the deal gives the firm the infrastructure and servers to be able to scale to a much larger audience than before. The firm was backed by eonBusiness, and was an outgrowth of the TechStars startup incubator.
