Englewood-based 180 Connect, a provider of installation, integration, and fulfilmment for the home entertainment and communications market, has been acquired by satellite TV provider DIRECTV. DIRECTV said Friday that it would pay $1.80 per share for 180 Connect, worth approximately $42.75M. In addition, UniTek USA LLC, a provider of engineering, construction management, and installation fulfillment, has agreed to acquire 180 Connect's cable services operating unit in a trade for UniTek's satellite installation services in New York City, Burbank, California, and Bloomington, California, plus an undisclosed amount of cash. 180 Connect provided installation and service in California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Arkansas, Virginia, Hawaii and western Pennsylvania.
