DIRECTV, a provider of digital satellite television, said Wednesday that it is expanding its national operations center in Denver. The firm said that the expansion will bring in up to 1,000 new jobs to the area, and will include all of its sales and service support for DIRECTV's customers. The company said that it will move to a new facility, scheduled top open in early 2007, which will oversee operations for all of its customer care operations nationwide. The expanded operations will be in a 257,000 square foot facility in Inverness Business Park, in a space formerly occupied by ICG.
