Computer manufacturer MPC Corp. revealed Tuesday that it has been contracted to supply a division of the U.S. Department of Defense with desktop, notebook and tablet computers. With the contract, the Nampa, Idaho-based company becomes the sole-source OEM for Defense Logistics Agency users in the United States and abroad. The DLA is the largest branch within the Defense Department. MPC said the contract has an IDIQ framework—infinite delivery, indefinite quantity—with additional one-year options. Each year is expected to average about $10 million in purchases, MPC noted.
