Sarcos Robotics Gets USAF Contract For Robotic Exoskeleton

Sarcos Robotics
has scored a contract from the United States Air Force, to develop a robotic exoskeleton, the company said on Wednesday. According to Sarcos, it has been a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract from the United States Air Force to develop a full-body exoskeleton for logistics applications. Size of the grant was not announced. Sarcos said the use of logistics exoskeletons would be used for such activities as pushing and pulling, loading and unloading crates, and carrying payloads over a wide variety of terrains.
