Englewood, Colorado-based Alternative Technology, a distributor of network computing products and services, announced yesterday that it has penned a value-added distribution agreement with Boulder-based LeftHand Networks, a developer of Internet protocol-based storage-area-network software. According to Alternative Technology, it will market LeftHand's Open iSCSI SAN technology to Alternative’s network of 3,000 resellers throughout the United States and Canada. Alternative Technology noted that it will immediately begin channel sales, training and pre-sales support, and that LeftHand's products will be generally available by Nov. 7. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., Alternative Technology is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arrow Enterprise Computer Solutions, which is a business unit of Arrow Electronics Inc. LeftHand develops storage software based on the iSCSI storage protocol.
