CSG Systems International Inc., a developer of customer care and billing software, announced Monday that it has agreed to acquire Prairie Voice Services Inc., a provider of interactive messaging services, for $39 million. CSG said the purchase, which is expected to close in mid-August, could include up to $6 million more in contingency payments if certain predetermined operating criteria are met. Based in Omaha, Neb., Prairie Voice Services provides inbound and outbound automated voice, text/SMS, e-mail and fax messaging services. The company was founded in 1990. CSG Systems is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado and provides billing services and software to cable television, satellite television, and others.
