Tucson, Arizona-based Apex Microtechnology is in a deal to be acquired by integrated circuits firm Cirrus Logic, in a deal worth $42M in cash. Cirrus Logic, which is based out of Austin, Texas, said today that it has agreed to acquire Apex Microtechnology in a definitive agreement. Apex employs approximately 90 people, and designs precision, high-power analog amplifiers used for the electronics industry. The deal is expected to close by the end of August. Cirrus Logic reported that Apex had revenues of $4M to $5M per quarter.
