Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Advent Solar said Tuesday that it has raised more than $70M in venture capital funding, in a Series D funding round. The investments came from ZBI Ventures, Sun Mountain Capital, and Globespan Capital Partners, along with existing investors Battery Ventures, EnerTech Capital, @Ventures, New Mexico Co-Investment Partners, and Firelake Capital. Advent Solar is a manufacturer of solar cells and modules, based on technology from Sandia National Laboratories.
