Leading Hospital System Adopts Carefx Solution
Carefx Corp., a developer of patient database platforms for the health care industry, announced Tuesday that its ongoing initiative with IBM has resulted in the sale and implementation of its services with Catholic Healthcare West, the nation's eighth largest hospital system and the largest not-for-profit hospital provider in California. Carefx said the rollout, branded by CHW as "DirectConnect," is a Web-based service that gives clinicians secure, pervasive access to integrated patient data. Carefx added that DirectConnect combines the company's scalable Fusion platform with IBM's WebSphere Clinical Portal. Carefx Corp. is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz.
