Lindon, Utah-based SCO Group announced its results Wednesday, saying that it had a net loss of $3.5M on revenues of $7.4M for the third quarter of fiscal year 2006. The firm's loss increased from $2.37M which it reported in the comparable quarter last year. SCO said that it attributed the loss to continued competitive pressures on the company's UNIX products and services. The firm also reported spending $2.3M in legal expenses connected with the firm's UNIX lawsuits. SCO has been engaged in a lawsuit against IBM and others over what it says is use of its code in the Linux operating system.
