Broomfield, Colorado-based McDATA announced its 2006 second quarter financial results yesterday, saying that it had net revenues of $150.1M in the second quarter, and a net loss of $20.5M. The results were down from $168.3M in the first quarter of this year, and down from $165.3M in the second quarter of 2005. The firm said that it was dissapointed by the quarter, but said it saw traction in 4 Gb/s and 10 Gb/s support on the McDATA 6150 director. McData, which provides equipment for the storage area networking and data storage industry, is in the midst of a $713M deal to be purchased by competitor Brocade Communications.
