Evans and Sutherland Lands UK Contract
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Evans and Sutherland has won a contract in the UK to provide its EPX-50 systems and databases into a multi-aircraft combat system. The company said that its products will be incorporated into the Capability Concept Demonstrator (CCD) for the UK MoD Mission training Through Distributed Simulation program (UK MTDS). Evans and Sutherland said that it is part of a team that includes QinetiQ, Boeing, cueSim, Aviation Training internation, and HVR Consulting Services. The systems will be used to enable pilots to train in multi-aircraft combat and fly with coalition services in a virtual combat environment. Evans and Sutherland provides hardware and software for flight simulation and visualization.
