Evans and Sutherland Completes Spitz Acquisition
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Evans & Sutherland completed its acquisition of Spitz, inc. yesterday, saying that the final purchase price was approximately $3.4M. E&S acquired the company from Transnational Industries as part of a divestiture of its simulation business. E&S sold its simulation business to Rockwell Collins and said it would be going into the educational planetarium business and digital theater. Spitz is located in Philadephia. Evans and Sutherland was originally founded on its simulation business, and provided flight simulation hardware and software to the military and commercial markets.
