Ancestry.com Aims At IPO Later This Year

Lehi, Utah-based Ancestry.com is preparing to launch an initial public offering (IPO) later this year, according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg cited "people familiar with the matter", and cited the interest of the public in DNA testing. Ancestry.com offers up family history and genealogy resources, coupled with DNA testing services which tie a user's genetic profile with their family history. Ancestry.com is owned by such private equity investors as Silver Lake, GIC, Spectrum Equity and Permira.
