ColdQuanta Names President and CEO

Boulder-based ColdQuanta, which is developing quantum computing technology, said late last night that it has named Robert "Bo" Ewald as the company's new President and CEO. Ewald was most recently President of D-Wave International, another company in the quantum computing area. He also had previously served as President of supercomputing firm Cray Research, and also had been CEO of Silicon Graphics. ColdQuanta is developing quantum computing products that it is aiming at use in quantum-based timekeeping, navigation and radio-frequency field sensing, as well as quantum communications, computing, and simulation. The company--which was founded in 2007--says it recently raised $6.75M in what it describes as a seed funding round.
