1K1V Invests In South African Startup

Greenwood Village, Colorado-based One Thousand & One Voices (1K1V), an investment firm which says it is funded by "private family capital", has made an investment in South African startup Higher Ed Partners South Africa (HEPSA). Size of the investment was not announced. 1K1V says the investment is its first in education in Africa, but is the fourth investment it has made on the African continent. Higher Ed Partners South Africa develops online program management services to educational institutions in South Africa. Henrik Jordaan is President and CEO of 1K1V; the company said it also is an investor in African companies Redsun Dried Fruit & Nuts, Beefmaster (beef exports), and SanLei (aquaculture). 1K1V says it has also invested in U.S. companies TRUE Jerky (healthy snack foods) and RTE Snacks (ready-to-eat trail mix).
