HotDocs Acquired By AbacusNext

Lindon, Utah-based HotDocs, a provider of document automation technology, has been acquired by San Diego, California -based AbacusNext. Financial terms of the acquisitio were not announced. HotDocs is a provider of document automation software to legal, banking, insurance, government, public and corporate sectors, and is led by CEO Alessandra Lezama. AbacusNext provides software and technology to the legal, accounting, and other professional services markets, to manage contracts, sales agreements, government forms, and loan documentation. AbacusNext is owned by private equity investor Providence Equity; HotDocs has its international headquarters in Edinburgh, UK, but has its US offices in Utah.
