American Traffic Solutions Acquired By Private Equity Investor

Mesa, Arizona-based American Traffic Solutions, a provider of road safety, red light, and traffic violation cameras, has been acquired by private equity investor Platinum Equity. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced by the companies. ATS has more than 3,500 school bus stop arm, red-light and speed safety cameras installed. Platinum Equity has more than $11 billion under management, and has more than more than 30 companies in its portfolio.
