Droplet Measurement Technologies Acquired By Private Equity Investor

Longmont-based Droplet Measurement Technologies, which develops scientific equipment used for measuring clouds and aerosol particles, has been acquired by private equity investor Benford Capital Partners. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Droplet Measurement Technologies was founded in 1987. The company's scientific equipment is mounted on airplanes, installed at the top of mountains, and elsewhere for measuring icing probability, climate change, volcanic emissions, cloud conditions for cloud seeding, and many other applications. Droplet Measurement Technologies will continue to be led by CEO Bob McAllister.
