HealthiestYou Acquired By Teladoc For $80M

Scottsdale, Arizona-based HealthiestYou, a developer of mobile, health tools for patient engagement, has been acquired for approximately $80M by telemedicine provider Teladoc, Teladoc said this morning. Teladoc said it will pay $45M in cash plus 6.96 million shares of its common stock for Healthiest You. HealthiestYou had $10M in revenues in 2015 and approximately $8M in revenues in the first six months of 2016, according to Teladoc. HealthiestYou was led by CEO Jim Prendergast. Teladoc is a provider of remote, telemedicine services.
