Amkor Technologies Opens New MEMS Line In China

Tempe, Arizona-based semiconductor packaging and test provider Amkor Technology announced today that it is expanding in China, and has opened up a new, MEMS and sensor packing line in China. The company said the new line, which is at its facility in Shanghai, comes due to demand for sensors in the smartphone and automotive market. Amkor said it has already been running a MEMS packaging line in the Phillippines since 2011.
