ON Semiconductor Keeps Offer Alive For Fairchild

Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor continues to keep its offer alive for Fairchild Semiconductor International, saying it has extended its offer to May 26th. ON Semiconductor is offering $20.00 per share in cash for Fairchild. The offer was originally made in November of 2015, but Fairchild has been working through a competing offer from a Chinese investment group--which Fairchild turned down over national security concerns.
