ON Semiconductor Keeps Offer Open For Fairchild

Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor has once again extended its offer for Fairchild Semiconductor, saying that it has extended the tender offer for Fairchild until March 31st. Fairchild has been working through a competing offer from Chinese companies China Resources Microelectronics Ltd and Hua Capital Management Co Ltd, which it rejected, over concerns that the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) would reject the deal for national security reasons.
