Optomec Names COO

Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Optomec, a developer of 3D printers for the manufacturing industry, has named Doug Welter as its new Chief Operating Officer. Welter has previously served at Nicor, Qnuru, and Surfect, and also served at Phillips Semiconductor and Motorola. He most recently was the Principal at DF2 Consulting, which provided COO, CTO, and CEO services to early stage companies, among other business consulting.
