Jaybird Acquired By Logitech For $95M
Salt Lake City-based wireless headphone maker Jaybird has been acquired by Logitech, in a deal worth up to $95M. Logitech International said it would pay $50M in cash, and up to $45M additional based on growth targets over the next two years for Jaybird, which develops wireless headphones aimed at the sports enthusiast market. Jaybird was founded in 2008, by Judd Armstrong. Jaybird is known for its BlueBuds X and X2 wireless earbuds, which it markets to the active sports enthusiast market. Logitech said the acquisition will not materially impact its FY 2017 guidance.
