Avnet Buys ExitCertified

Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet is further expanding its lineup of services today, saying that it has acquired ExitCertified, a provider of certified IT training which is based in Ottawa, Canada. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, however, Avnet said the acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to its earnings. Avnet will use ExitCertified to bolster is Avnet Academy service. ExitCertified provides training for such vendors as Amazon Web Services, Brocade, Cloudera, ForgeRock, Oracle, Pivotal, Red Hat, SAP, Symantec and VERITAS, and was founded in 2001.
