Techstars Eyes Emerging Markets With New Hire
Boulder-based startup accelerator operator Techstars--which already has operations across the world--said it is ramping up its efforts in emerging markets, with the naming of a new VP. According to Techstars, it has named Ed Roberto as its new VP of Accelerator Programs in the MEA (Middle East and Africa), as part of an effort to help entrepreneurs in emerging regions. Roberto was already a mentor and angel investor. Roberto was CEO of Lagrange Systems and Collective Intellect, and also had invested in such companies as Kindara, Parkifi, PivotDesk, Mattermark, and many others, in addition to serving as an LP of Stafford Capital Partners and Appian Venture Partners.
