Backcountry.com Acquired By Private Equity Investor

Park City, Utah-based Backcountry.com, which sells outgoor gear and apparel online, has been acquired by private equity investor TSG Consumer Partners. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Backcountry.com had been owned by Liberty Interactive Corp. The companies said that Backcountry.com's founder, Jim Holland, will continue to own a stake in the company. Backcountry was started in 1996 in Park City.
