Techstars Boots Up Robotics Accelerator For Qualcomm
Boulder-based Techstars, the startup accelerator operator which got its start here in Boulder but is now across the country and the world, has booted up another accelerator--this time, one focused on robotics. Qualcomm, the technology giant best known for its telecommunications and mobile chip technology, said this week that it has selected 10 companies for the first Qualcomm Robotics Accelerator, which is being run for the company by TechStars. The first ten companies in the program are Carbon Robotics, Cleverpet, Ctrl Works, Inova Drone, Reach Robotics, Skyfront, Sky Robotics, Skysense, Solenica, and Rational Robotics. TechStars is no stranger to robotics companies--the group has been behind such companies as Brewbot (beer brewing robots); Rise Robotics; RobotsLab; SmartToy/Ubooly (robotic toys); and Sphero (robotic balls).
